Gold Coast City Council, with the endorsement of the Australian Institute of Architects, held a design ideas competition to generate creative new visions and ideas for the future of the public site at Evandale.
The closing date for registration was 28 September 2009.
This became one of the most successful design competitions ever held in Australia and demonstrated the value of the project.
The ideas generated are now available for community discussion about the future of the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct.
The ideas have also identified specific design features and strategies that could be incorporated in the future development of the site.
