The Gold Coast Cultural Precinct will be a central place where you can enjoy a range of entertainment.
It will have something for everyone.
It will be a place of entertainment with live music, comedy, stage shows and restaurants.
It will host touring acts, artworks and performers who ordinarily wouldn’t have the Gold Coast on their radar. The type of theatrical performances that currently only visit the other major cities.
It will provide a place to meet friends and family and enjoy cinema, theatre, dance and creative entertainment.
It will provide school students a place where they can learn, explore the creative arts and
perform.
Currently there are more than ,1,000 local businesses in the creative industries, employing more than 3,500 locals and this would grow with a new cultural precinct, creating more jobs for locals.
Tourism is the Gold Coast’s largest employer with about 1 in 6 jobs being related to the tourist industry. A new cultural precinct will be a boon to tourism with an influx of visitors from all over Australia.
And it will become the home to current and emerging Gold Coast arts organisations, including the
Arts Centre, Gold Coast Orchestra, ballet schools, theatre, music and film groups.
